The Conference is held at the Aalto Design Factory, located on the Aalto University Otaniemi campus about 10 km to the west of Helsinki. There are two large contiguous spaces as well as numerous smaller rooms which allow the conference to run its meetings efficiently.

Public transportation from central Helsinki – bus connections between central Helsinki and Otaniemi with about 5-10 minute intervals.

taniementie 19, EspooAll delegates are welcome to the reception at this informal get-together at the newly renovated Aalto University Library. A buffet and refreshment are served – enjoy the food, drinks and networking.
Harald Herlin Learning Centre – The building designed by Alvar Aalto and completed in 1970 at the very centre of Otaniemi Campus has been renovated. The building was hatched into a multi-purpose and modern learning centre for students, faculty and other customers. Digitalisation has freed more space from books to customers, various kinds of activities and user-oriented services.

Wednesday April 26 – Conference dinner at 18:30
Haltia, Nuuksiontie 84, 02820 Espoo
Haltia, the Finnish Nature Centre won the European Museum of the Year Award in 2015 and will be the elegant setting for our dinner. We will have a private bus taking us from the Aalto campus (approx 30 min) to the beautiful Nuuksio national park area.
Buses depart from the Conference venue (Design Factory) at 18:00, stopping by the hotel Radisson Blue Hotel Espoo at 18:15, on it’s way. Return transportation approx. 22 from Haltia.
Accommodation
We have booked rooms from Radisson Blu Hotel Espoo in Otaniemi, Espoo along the Otaranta waterfront in the centre of the Otaniemi education, research and technology area. A 700 meters walk to the Design Centre, only a short drive to the Helsinki city centre (15 min) and Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport (20-25 min).
Alternatively we recommend Original Sokos Hotel Tapiola Garden.
